BCSS IT Renewal Project Discovery

BC School Sports is replacing STARS with a new platform that will enhance school sport management for staff, schools, parents and athletes across the province. Over the past several weeks, we worked with BCSS staff to document what that platform needs to do, including:

How your data will be structured
How the components of your new system will interact
How your existing data will be migrated in

This package is the result: a blueprint for the design and build.

Note: These documents are as of October 2, 2026. A living version of these documents will continue to be updated through development. As of October 2, 2026 the MyEd integration approach remains unresolved. This decision has a material impact on a number of items across the discovery document, which should not be considered finalized until a direction is confirmed.
